Please join us for our First Tuesday Open House Dharma Talk each month. On the first Tuesday of each month, from 7 – 9:00 p.m., our regular open house will feature a special guest Shambhala teacher or senior Shambhala student. The discussions, while focusing on introducing new students to Shambhala, will also contain wisdom and insight for practitioners at every level. Please join us for the these special events.

Upcoming Dharma Talk Schedule

(All Tuesday Night Open House Programs will be from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted):

The Shambhala Teachings on Balancing Feminine and Masculine Principle

with Irv Kirschbaum

Irv will review the traditional Buddhist concepts of Feminine and Masculine energies. While the Masculine (potency, accomplishment and fearlessness) is important, the Feminine (space, accommodation and gentleness) is just as necessary and in fact, Irv will argue, foundational. Yet, it seems that this latter aspect is often given short-shrift in these accelerated, achievement-oriented times.  We’ll look at ways to balance these energies in our lives and look at ways we might identify those patches that are out of kilter.

Every Third Tuesday – Pema Night!

As part of our regularly scheduled Tuesday Open House, we are now offering Pema Night on the third Tuesday of each month! Please join us as we play Pema Chödrön talks (usually via DVD) and/or read from one of her books. Discussion and light refreshments to follow!

Every Fourth Tuesday – The Shambhala Principle

Group readings from and discussion about The Shambhala Principle by Shambhala Lineage Holder Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche.

$5 – $10 donation is appreciated for any Tuesday night offering.
