Over the course of these 6 weeks we will study and practice the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. This teaching lays the ground for all mindfulness-based meditation methods.
We will be using the root text which is known as the Satipatthana Sutra. Going back to the source of the Buddha's teachings helps us to appreciate the more modern applications of his wisdom.
This sutra delves deeply into contemplation of impermanence and consequently the many ways we cling to body to assure ourselves we exist as separate and solid. We will look into the contemplation of impermanence and consequently the many ways we cling to body to assure ourselves we exist as separate and solid.
Dharma is always relevant and never grows out of date. Penetrating an ancient text with our current-day savvy, is a practical way to enrich and deepen how our practice unfolds.
May Basic Goodness dawn!
